Choir

Each Sunday’s music brings something new to complement the theme of the service. You may hear music of any style and instrumentation, a diversity that reflects the many traditions honored by Unitarian Universalism. Musical styles range from jazz, pop, classical, country, folk, gospel, blues, and more. We often sing songs from our two hymnals, Singing the Living Tradition and Singing the Living Journey

Our choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm from late August to early June . The choir sings during Sunday service two or three times a month. On other Sundays, we feature guest musicians.  We have a partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the New River Valley in Blacksburg, and join with them from time to time for larger choir programs.

If you are interested in joining the UUCR choir or offering your your musical talents, contact our Music Director, Scott Williamson, at swilliamson@uuroanoke.org.
