Theme: Today is Palm Sunday. In the Christian tradition, this is an observance that begins Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter. On Palm Sunday, Jesus is welcomed into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey, with people spreading palms before them as he arrives. By the end of the week, welcome has turned into condemnation, punishment, and death. Life confronts all of us with things we cannot anticipate and cannot change, even things that may turn our lives upside down (or end them). As Unitarian Universalists, what lessons can we consider when we think about surrender?
Sunday service begins at 11:00 am. Most people arrive by 10:45 am to greet each other and find seats in the sanctuary. Learn more about Visiting UUCR, including location and accessibility information.
- First-time visitors: please come a little earlier so we may welcome you, provide a name tag, orient you to the sanctuary and, if appropriate, to the children’s services.
