- Pay online via credit card or bank transfer using our donation portal (Vanco). The Vanco site allows you to make a one-time payment or recurring payments.
- Checks or cash can be:
- placed in the offering basket on Sunday;
- dropped into the locked white box on the church office door, or
- mailed to UUCR / 2015 Grandin Rd. SW / Roanoke, VA 24018
- Donate stock: Contributing appreciated securities may provide tax advantages (seek advice from your accountant or financial advisor). For instructions, contact the Board’s vice-president of finance Sheila Barnhart (see the directory in the Members section).
- Donate via IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD): Generally, if you are age 73 and have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you must take a required minimum distribution (RMD) annually from your account. A QCD can be used to meet part or all of your RMD requirement and may reduce your taxable income for the year (seek advice from your accountant or financial advisor). - IMPORTANT: If fulfilling a pledge to either the Annual Pledge Campaign or to the 2025-2028 Capital Campaign, or if you are donating to a specific fund:
- Checks: use the memo line to indicate what the check is for.
- Cash: place cash in an envelope and indicate what the cash is for.
- Online: follow the instructions on the Vanco site about how to indicate what your donation or pledge is for.
