Our Caring Committee addresses member needs for material support during times of hardship and illness. Meals for the home-bound and rides to doctor appointments are among the gifts of service they provide. They also coordinate announcements – called Lifelines – of members’ personal joys and concerns, offering them to the congregation on Sunday and in the updates that go out by email every week.

If you have a confidential joy or concern you would like to share with the minister, please put your request in the locked box on the podium in the alcove next to the name tag board.

Volunteering with the Caring Committee is a great way to contribute to the life of the church without dedicating lots of time. The team meets by Zoom the first Tuesday of every month from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm. If you can help, email our office administrator (admin@uuroanoke.org) and ask that your message be forwarded to Sally Garber (she/her), the Caring Committee’s coordinator
