Welcome to Lifespan Faith Development at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Roanoke
Faith development is a unique lifelong journey of spiritual growth. Here at our church, we provide support for our members’ personal journeys from cradle to grave. We provide age-appropriate religious education classes from our nursery through high school. Our goal is to encourage each child’s spiritual growth, while also develop their social and moral conscience. We also offer specialized classes to specific age groups, such as “Our Whole Lives” sexuality education program for grades 7-9.
Grades 8-12 students participate in our Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU) program, which is overseen by our Youth Adviser, Bonnie Evans. YRUU meets weekly on Sundays from 12:30-2:30, emphasizing community building and service, leadership development, worship, fellowship, and social activities.
Adults have opportunities throughout the year to explore their beliefs and deepen their faith. They may participate in religious education classes, mission groups, covenant/community groups, monthly potluck suppers w/ accompanying activities (First Thursdays), monthly movie nights (Popcorn Theology), and much more.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Roanoke is here to support you and your family throughout your unique religious journey. I would love to hear from you about our programs and discuss how you can get involved. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I wish you the best in your search for spiritual and community growth.
