OUUT @ Roanoke Pride!

It’s that time of year, folks… time for ROANOKE PRIDE!1423926703

Last year, we had a great time passing out homemade bracelets, talking to folks about what all OUUT and UUCR do in and around our community, and visiting with a ton of positive and welcoming people.
This year, Pride in the Park will be bigger and better than ever! Head on over to their website (linked above) to check out the acts. OUUT is really looking forward to Brody Ray’s return to Roanoke as well as getting to hear the songs and stories of Justin Utley. We are also trying to get a group together for the Prism Games, which will either be a mess or a championship… we aren’t sure which!
Our booth & parade theme this year is “Go all OUUT,” hinting at the unabashed celebration of all walks of life that we encourage as UUs. In the parade, we will be wearing the 8 colors of the OUUT rainbow (we include pink and light blue for transgender folks) and would love to have you join us. We’ll be there Saturday, September 12 – Sunday, September 13.

Two-fer Tuesday: Mark Travis Rivera & RDC

(If you have something you’d like us to feature, let us know!)

For our inaugral Two-fer Tuesday, we want to show off a young man who gave a big speech and show you the ultimate resource for answers to your LGBTQ questions in Roanoke.
