Adult Faith Development

For Adults

Living the Questions (9:30 AM Sundays in the Olin Room)

Throughout November and December, our discussion will center around the book White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo. The Book is available in the church library in the Olin Room.White people in the U.S. live in a racially insular social environment. This insulation builds our expectations for racial comfort while at the same time lowering our stamina for enduring racial stress. This book provides an overview of the socialization that inculcates white fragility and provides the perspectives and skills needed for white people to build their racial stamina and develop more equitable and just racial norms and practices.
