New Here? Welcome to UU Roanoke!
Each of us at one time or another seek something that will help us make more sense, or bring more meaning or connection in our lives. We welcome you to join us in that seeking.
People seek out a church community for many reasons, including community, religious education for themselves or their families, meaningful worship time, opportunities for celebration, service and fellowship, a time of change or crisis in one’s life, or opportunities to explore life’s fundamental questions more deeply and intentionally. Each of these is a part of life at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Roanoke.
Our church is a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Ours is a non-creedal faith, welcoming all seekers wherever they are on their spiritual journey. Our faith was birthed out of the Biblical tradition of God’s love and grace, humanities’ call to compassion and justice, and a commitment to respect the many different religions that inform the human family. We are an inclusive church with members who identify themselves as Christians, Skeptics, Agnostics, Buddhists, and everything in between. We believe that our lives are enriched by the various ways in which our individual explorations of faith both converge and are diverse.
If you are checking out our church for the first time, feel free to look around, listen to some sermon podcasts, and know that you are always welcome to stop by any Sunday morning and check us out.
